SHERYL PICKENS​, Principal

Since the launch of her commercial real estate brokerage career in the early 1980’s at Trammell Crow Company, Sheryl’s professional philosophy is to embrace a client-centric outlook, choosing to focus her efforts on building long-term connections with those she serves rather than endorsing the traditional transaction–oriented business model. Today, as Principal and Cofounder of PickensRidnour, L.P. LP (dba Real
Estate Uprising), Sheryl leads with a strategic hands-on approach when negotiating on behalf of her clients in various transactional capacities in areas of leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, strategic consulting, portfolio management, broker opinions of value, and state/local incentives. Whether representing an entrepreneurial high-tech startup, sole proprietor, or an HQ global corporation, Sheryl will leverage her expertise to meticulously seek out and deliver the right business address or real estate investment that diametrically implements functionality, economics, culture, and employee recruitment/productivity for her client. Sheryl has built a reputation of authenticity, ethics and exemplary service which has resulted in her continued client relations longevity and as a respected member of the commercial real estate community.

BRENDA RIDNOUR​, Principal

Brenda’s past thirty-five years in commercial real estate include institutional/investment asset management, owning her own advisory company since 1996, and recently helping to build a high-tech CRE online platform. This diverse exposure to varied transactions helps her to bring an unparalleled level of expertise and personalized service to her clients which provides results-driven strategies ensuring their success. As Principal and Cofounder of PickensRidnour, L.P. LP (dba Real
Estate Uprising), Brenda leverages resources and creative solutions with a client-first commitment. She currently provides tenant advisory, third-party leasing, acquisition and disposition brokerage, strategic portfolio management and asset management consulting. Brenda’s experience ranges from representing start-ups/entrepreneurial sole proprietors to corporate HQ in the various asset classes of office, industrial and retail. She is committed to providing best-in-class service by elevating the commercial real estate experience for each client – regardless of the size of the transaction. She focuses on finding optimal locations for her clients that increase productivity, improve quality of service and reduce attrition. Brenda drives high productivity, excellent communication and client satisfaction culminating in retaining clients – and, more important, earning their referrals.

PARKER PICKENS​, Associate

Upon graduating from Oklahoma State University in 2016, Parker received his property casualty insurance license and spent his first three years in the business community selling commercial and personal lines insurance with Coverica Insurance Agency & Integrity Personal Insurance. Ready for a new challenge, Parker made a career change to commercial real estate and obtained his real estate license. In September, 2019, he joined Real Estate Uprising as a Real Estate Associate and has been developing his skills under the direction of the leadership team. His main focus is to represent various businesses desiring to lease, acquire or sell commercial real estate in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metropolitan area. With Parker’s professional and personable working style, he engages easily upon first encounter. Parker is a self-motivated and progress-driven individual with the skill set that addresses the specific needs of each company he represents. He also possesses a deep sense of dedication and places high standards on his integrity and reputation when working with his clients or members of the real estate community. Parker’s leisure time consists of attending OSU football games, playing golf, fishing, hunting, and hanging with family and friends.

Artist Uprising is spearheaded by founder & entrepreneur, Merrick Porchéddu. Porchéddu graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Mike Curb College of Music Business from Belmont University with a bachelors in Entertainment Studies and Business. Since, Porchéddu's background has ranged across many creative mediums: from syndicated radio programming, to A&R/artist management, to web-design, public relations, social media management, and becoming the General Manager of the fastest growing Dallas coworking space, where she oversaw activities of over 300 startup businesses. In 2016, she set out to start her own startup, Artist Uprising - a concept she believed could efficiently bridge the gap between creatives and commerce. Porchéddu lives in Dallas, TX with her husband and their two sons, Oliver and Silas.
